More women and men get BOTOX treatments at our Ann Arbor office than any other injectable or non-laser cosmetic treatment we offer. BOTOX has become a routine part of many people's beauty regimens, and it has even become a household word. At our Ann Arbor dermatology practice, we have earned unique recognition from the manufacturer of BOTOX as our practice is among their top injectors. Very few can match our level of experience with BOTOX and all of its uses. Many injectors are not familiar with the ideal placement of BOTOX injections to produce a youthful, natural appearance. At our offices, only board-certified dermatologists inject BOTOX. All of our injectors are highly trained with extensive experience - a key component to identifying the tiny muscles responsible for the movements that create lines and wrinkles after repeated facial expressions.

Liquid Facelift

The liquid facelift, also known as a non-surgical facelift, is an innovative, non-invasive treatment option for patients looking for facial rejuvenation without surgery. Using a combination of facial fillers and neuromodulators like Botox, or Xeomin, the non-surgical facelift provides a more youthful appearance to patients experiencing the beginning signs of aging. Our Board Certified Dermatologists injectable experts who would love to create a customized liquid facelift treatment plan to meet your needs.

What is a Liquid Facelift?

As we all age, we naturally lose some of the collagen, elastin, and fat in our faces, starting in our 30s. The loss of soft tissue and bone mass results in volume loss that can drastically age our skin and make us appear older than we are with sagging and hollows. The liquid facelift temporarily corrects this problem by filling in lost volume with a combination of facial fillers and smoothing out wrinkles with Botox injections.

Our expert injectors can treat the following problem areas with a liquid facelift:

  • Lip lines
  • Cheek bones
  • Temples
  • Jawline
  • Frown lines (11’s)
  • Hollows under eyes
  • Deep lines and wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet
  • Bunny lines
  • Gummy smile

When you meet with one of our dermatologists for a consultation, she will examine your trouble spots and create a customized treatment plan using a combination of dermal fillers and neuromodulators to rejuvenate the entire face and restore a youthful appearance. The doctor may recommend a combination of any of the following injectables:

  • Juvederm Ultra or Ultra Plus
  • Restylane
  • Radiesse
  • Belotero
  • Botox
  • Xeomin

The Benefits of a Non-Surgical Facelift

The liquid facelift is a great option for patients who are in the early stages of volume loss with shadows under the eyes and fine lines. It is also ideal for patients who desire a non-surgical way to lift their sagging cheeks and mouth area. When the procedure is performed by an experienced, board-certified dermatologist, it is a safe and effective temporary way to restore a youthful glow to your face and turn back the clock. With little to no downtime and much less risk than a surgical facelift, the liquid facelift is a quick and easy way to get a natural-looking rejuvenated appearance.

Liquid Facelift FAQ

If you are considering a facial rejuvenation treatment, want to learn more about the liquid facelift, or have any further questions about non-surgical facial rejuvenation, don’t hesitate to contact our office.

Q: Is a liquid facelift painful?

A: Most patients do not experience pain during a non-surgical facelift, because our highly experienced dermatologists do everything they can to minimize discomfort experienced during the procedure. Some of the injectables contain lidocaine to prevent pain on injection and the doctors can apply a topical numbing agent and ice to your skin prior to the procedure.

Q: How much does a liquid facelift cost?

A: Every liquid facelift treatment plan is tailored to the individual; therefore, there is not one set price. Different patients will need different combinations of fillers and Botox and different amounts of the product for optimal results. Schedule a consultation with one of our experts to develop a treatment plan and discuss the cost.

Q: What are the most common liquid facelift side effects?

A: Unlike a surgical facelift, the side effects of a liquid facelift are minimal. Patients may experience redness, swelling, bruising, itching, and/or discomfort for a few days following treatment. To minimize bruising, stop aspirin medications like Advil and fish oil for one week before your procedure. Arnica is a helpful supplement we supply in the office to reduce bruising and swelling.

Q: How long do liquid facelift results last?

A: The length of time patients experience results will depend greatly on the specific injectables used. Most of the hyaluronic acid gel fillers, like Restylane and Juvederm, last 8-12 months. VOLUMA and Sculptra can last over 2 years. Botox and the other neuromodulators tend to last 4-5 months. To maintain your youthful appearance, simply return for touch up sessions.

Q: What is the downtime following a liquid facelift?

A: The downtime following a non-surgical facelift is minimal. Since there are no incisions, most patients are able to return to normal activities as soon as they leave the office, many even returning to work. Just keep in mind that you may experience some redness or swelling for a few days, but makeup can be used to cover this up. There is also the possibility that a bruise will appear at injection site.
