Good Faith Estimates For General Dermatology Services in Ann Arbor, MI

At Ganger, we understand that healthcare can be frustrating at times. Before you can pick up your acne prescription or comfortably schedule an urgent spot check, you need to know what to expect. We’re proud to accept payment assistance from many of the most popular insurance providers, but in order to be as transparent as possible, we also offer good faith estimates for all procedures and treatment options before your appointment. Review your rights below and call us with questions at (734) 344-4567 today.

Good Faith Estimates

As of January 1, 2022, uninsured and self-pay patients who don’t plan to submit a claim are entitled to a good faith price estimate before they’re charged for items or services by healthcare providers and facilities. This good faith estimate is not a bill. A margin of error should be expected between the estimate and the final charge.

Good faith estimates should include expected charges for the item or service and any other items or services provided as part of the same scheduled experience. The good faith estimate cannot and will not include any unknown or unexpected costs that could arise during treatment.

If you schedule your item or service at least three days in advance, the healthcare provider or facility should offer you a good faith estimate in writing at least one day prior to your scheduled item or service. If you schedule your item or service at least ten days in advance, you are entitled to the same good faith estimate up to three days before the scheduled item or service.

You may also ask any healthcare provider or facility for a good faith estimate without scheduling an item or service. You should receive that good faith estimate within 3 business days of your request. A difference of $400 or more between your good faith estimate and your final bill entitles you by federal law to dispute that bill.
